The training program consists of 6 modules: M0 Introduction to magnetism; M1 Exploration and mining of REEs; M2 Magnet production; M3 Electric Motors; M4 Magnet recycling; M5 LCA

Currently, we organize the course in the form of 4-day summer school with 6-8 (academic) hours of teaching and learning activity per day. The course includes home assignments (quizzes) that you can complete at your own pace.

Yes, you can choose a topic of interest and attend the event for just one day. We issue a program with schedule adapted to each coming event.

Year 2026, the prices for one-day training varies from 100 (online) to 150 (onsite) EUR.

The students have to

  1. Attend at least 80% of lectures. We recommend on-site participation. In case of on-line participation the attendance is mandatory and will be monitored.
  2. Pass the quizzes (multiple choice questions) prepared for each module.
  3. Write a 4-5 pages report on a topic related to the course content and give a short presentation at a seminar. The seminars will be organized separately.
  4. Only for the 2026 course event, one needs to complete a digital training on exploration and mining.

We believe that the main driving force in understanding this topic is your keen interest in it. Gymnasium level would be sufficient.

Everyone who attends lectures and passes quizzes will receive Certificates of Completion. In this certificate, we will highlight the course modules that you have successfully completed.
